Introducing The Highrise

December 3, 2025

Announcing the launch of The Highrise, a new semi-annual salon designed to elevate the cannabis conversation in partnership with Cultivated Media.

At Gotham, we’ve always believed that cannabis deserves a smarter, more transparent, and more connected conversation. The industry is evolving quickly, especially in New York, and our community is hungry for real insight, not more noise.

We’re proud to introduce The Highrise, presented by Gotham and Cultivated. Together with Cultivated Media, one of the most trusted editorial voices in cannabis, we’re creating the room where real conversations can finally happen. A salon. A place where the people shaping the future of the industry, operators, policymakers, founders, investors, researchers, and cultural leaders, can gather for focused, meaningful conversation. The Highrise is designed to bring together a thoughtful cross-section of voices for discussions that cut through the noise and illuminate what’s happening now, and what’s coming next. Each semi-annual gathering will center on curated conversations, followed by a happy hour where attendees can continue connecting in a more casual setting. To be considered for attendance, click here to apply.

Our first event will be held on January 29th at The Greene Space, featuring a keynote conversation with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Jeremy Berke, co-founder and editor-in-chief of Cultivated Media. Together, they will unpack the future of federal cannabis policy, how shifts in Washington may affect New York’s market, and what meaningful progress could look like for entrepreneurs, investors, and consumers.

Additional sessions will explore two areas that deserve more attention in the industry today:

  • The expanding landscape of cannabis science and medical research, including where breakthroughs are happening and how those findings should guide the industry.
  • The state of investment, and why so many investors remain hesitant to commit capital despite a rapidly growing market.

Our goal is to bring together a room of people who genuinely care about the future of cannabis and who want to walk away feeling clearer, more informed, and energized about what’s ahead.

At Gotham, we’re committed to helping shape a stronger and more inclusive cannabis ecosystem. From our community giveback initiatives to our long-standing partnerships with local organizations, we’ve always believed this industry can and should be a force for good. The Highrise is another step in that commitment, a space for grounded conversation, shared learning, and collective progress.

We’re excited to build this new platform and hope it becomes a gathering place the industry can rely on: smart, useful, and rooted in purpose.
