Buy Weekly: Spring Nostalgia

I love April. My birthday is in April, as is my sister's. Flowers are blooming everywhere in NYC, and I've officially abandoned my winter coat for all kinds of layers. The farmer's market has started showing signs of the season, with some of my faves: fava beans, peas, asparagus and more. It's also time for some fresh Spring/Summer clothing drops at Gotham.

I've always been drawn to nostalgia. In the nineties, we looked to the seventies and eighties. Now, as I search for clothing for Gotham, I'm brought back to the 90s and early aughts. From the slick graphics of Early Vitamins and Uxe Mentale to the reemergence of quintessential 90's brands X-Girl + 555 Soul, to the oversized skater-styles of Meals pants + jackets, and the shapes and textures of Corridor, and Lite Year, we are deep in a reflection my teen years.

I was in Paris for men's fashion week back in January, and saw tons of pieces that reflected moments, music, shapes and patterns from the era of my youth. This means we will continue to see this trend into Fall/Winter 2024 (and I am not mad about it), with drops from Devastates, Carne Bollente, Beach Brains + more.
